Peter is a veteran mining engineer, fund manager and analyst, who is highly regarded and well known in the mining and financial service industries. He frequently comments in the broadcast and print media as a mining investment authority. Peter graduated from Montana School of Mines in 1981 and came to South Africa in January 1982 to work for Harmony Gold Mine. After graduating from UCT with an MBA in 1984 and working as Marketing & Training Manager at Eimco Mining Machinery, he joined Allan Gray in 1989 as a gold mine analyst for a period of 2 years. He spent 10 years as Head of Mining and Senior Fund Manager at Nedcor Investment Bank where he was the No 1 Fund Manager in SA twice; first in the Raging Bull awards twice and was runner up another year. From 2001 to 2004 Peter managed Mark Shuttleworth’s $530m fund, growing it to $1.5 bn. In 2006 he joined Cadiz Corporate Solutions as Director: Mining. Cadiz CS was taken over by Mergence Investment Management in 2018 where Peter is Director: Mining MCS.

His knowledge of business sustainability was honed over six years as executive: business sustainability at Royal Bafokeng Holdings and Royal Bafokeng Platinum. He started work on a shaft sinking contract in Zimbabwe in 1987 with Cementation Zimbabwe Ltd. Vaughn moved to South Africa after his marriage in 1989 and joined Anglo Vaal, where he progressed his career until the company was acquired by African Rainbow Minerals in 2004. Vaughn then established Sound Mining Solution (Pty) Ltd (www.soundmining.co.za), a company that provides an independent consultancy service to the minerals industry. Vaughn is President and a Fellow of the SAIMM with over 30 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has contributed to the latest rewrites of the South African Mineral Asset Valuation Code (SAMVAL) and the South African Mineral Resource Committee Code (SAMREC). Vaughn is also a recognised Project Management Professional (PMP) and a registered professional with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Brandon Munro has over 20 years’ experience as a resources executive and lawyer, including serving as Bannerman Resources’ General Manager between 2009-2011 and CEO from 2016. Brandon lived in Namibia from 2009-2015, where he also served as Governance Advisor to the Namibian Uranium Association and Strategic Advisor – Mining Charter to the Namibian Chamber of Mines. Nchakha Moloi

Sam Chikowore is a family man, married with a son and a daughter, has a lifelong background in the mining industry spanning back to 1993. He initially was involved with a chrome-mining venture which had operations on the Zimbabwe Great-Dyke. After a couple of years in distribution, Sam took up a new role managing earth-moving equipment with contracts at the country's largest open-cast platinum miner with another contract running at a chrome smelter. Sam was later to leave that project to start his own chrome mining venture on a tribute basis working with the two leading ferro-chrome producing companies in Zimbabwe at the time. In 2002 Sam set up a new company Exporien Mining P/L, coming in as Managing Director. Sam sought to use the Exporien vehicle to diversify into other mineral commodities outside his chrome comfort zone.

For the past 12 years he has been employed by First Quantum Minerals Ltd, primarily in their Projects team, where most recently he has project managed the building of a port (coal offloading and copper loading), 120km 230KV transmission line and a 300MV coal fired power station for the Minera Panama Project in Panama.
