Dr. Girum Hailu holds a Medical Doctorate Degree from Jimma University, in Ethiopia and a Master's in Public Health from Free University of Brussels (ULB), in Belgium. Dr. Girum Hailu Maheteme has been serving as the managing Director of Future International Consulting (FIC) in Ethiopia, for more than sixteen years, where he oversees various research programs, consulting and training services in areas of Health, Population and Nutrition (HPN). In addition to providing consulting services to organizations such as JICA, Pathfinder International, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNFPA, World Bank, DFID, he has organized and participated in various national and international conferences, seminars and trainings related to improving health care and prevention of tropical diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Dr. Girum Hailu Maheteme is currently serving as a senior Advisor for IGAD health and social development program: working as IGAD Coordinator for regional Cancer Initiative, IGAD National Coordinator for COVID-19 Response from Ethiopia, with full passion and dedication, with full commitment in all fronts of Regional Medicines Regulation and the Fight against Cancer in the IGAD region.

Dr. Anastasia Nyalita is Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Healthcare Federation, KHF and Lead Director at Integral Health Limited. Dr. Nyalita did her undergraduate training in Pharmacy at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and obtained her post-graduate degree in Business Management, MBA, from the same University. She is also a certified Corporate Governance Trainer as well as a Board Evaluations & Assessments Trainer. She has a solid background in Business Leadership, Commercial Operations and Technical Operations, having led and excelled in these roles during her tenures in various Multi-National Pharmaceutical Organizations with responsibilities across Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia. As the Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Healthcare Federation, she is currently leading the Policy & Advocacy agenda for the Private Health Sector in Kenya, including Public-Private Dialogues (PPDs) and Public-Private Partnerships, PPP, in the Kenya Private Health Sector. Dr. Nyalita is the Lead Director, Integral Health Limited, a Kenyan based dynamic health and business management organization with access to expert resources to support the sales & marketing, manufacturing, operational, planning, and transactional support needs of Biopharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Consumer Health, Health Technologies, and other organizations with an interest in Health. Dr Omar Najim is the Director of the Executive Affairs and Special projects Office projects reporting to Chairman of AD DoH and Abu Dhabi Public Health Center. He is one of the main leaders shaping the landscape of healthcare in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to achieve its full potential and aspirational goal. DoH main role is the guardian of health in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and striving to achieve the vision of “healthier Abu Dhabi”. One of his key roles, is being a member of a core “AD Healthcare Gold Command Team” for Covid-19 and part of the team leading on transforming healthcare in Abu Dhabi. He currently leads the attracting investment and building a thriving healthcare economic growth. In addition, he led on many initiatives related to introducing transformative change around quality, finance, digital and access in the emirate of Abu Dhabi and UAE. Omar is trained as a Head and Neck surgeon in the UK and Immediately prior to joining AD DoH, Omar was a hospitals improvement lead at Mckinsey and Company in London Healthcare and Operation practice, leading on nationwide effort to improve emergency pathway, quality of care, integrated care, regulation and efficiency. Omar has also worked on efficiency and value-based healthcare provision, leading teams in helping private/public hospitals and investment houses to achieve efficiency and financial turnaround in the UK and Europe. Omar is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; holds a Masters in surgical technology and healthcare innovation from Imperial College London and did a one-year leadership and quality fellowship at the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement. He holds several international committee scientific membership and has published and presented in the field of medicine, healthcare operation, quality, innovation and workforce planning.  He lives in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two children.

Before joining the UN in 2006, Mr. Ayele, took responsible positions in the capacity of Senior Procurement & Logistics Officer and Operations Manager for over 10 years at various Government and International Organizations. Under the United Nations, in addition to his current assignment at PD/GPSS, he served in four UN field Missions (MINUSTAH, UNAMID, UNSOA & MINURSO) as Procurement Officer, Chief Procurement Officer & chief of Acquisition Planning & Requisitioning Section for 14 years.  Mr. Ayele received his BA Degree in Social Science from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and his MSc. In Procurement from the University of Glamorgan, UK and is a professional member of CIPS (The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), UK. Prior to joining the United Nations Procurement Division, he held several positions in the procurement area in both private and public sector including the World Bank Group during his procurement career of 20 years. Mr. Islam holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

Azuka is well known for the role she plays as a Thought Partner and Advisor to National Ministries of Health in Africa. Currently, she has pioneered the set-up of a first of its kind Membership Platform for the private sector in Nigeria through which private corporates and individual experts have contributed about $700,000 (Seven Hundred Thousand US Dollars) to public health programmes within the past four years. Her ambition is to provide governments and partners with a pragmatic framework for sustainability and country ownership for supply chain delivery. Her most recent aspiration is in advocating for human capital development in Africa and championing a collaboration with MIT Boston, Zaragoza Logistics Centre, Spain, and six local universities in Nigeria to set-up a Pan-African Centre of Excellence for Supply Chain Management.

In 2008, he joined Air France KLM Cargo, initially to oversee Sales for Eastern France and later held a position within the France Sales Management team until 2012. In 2013, he was appointed as Sales Manager & Developer France of the Air France KLM Pharmaceutical Group, where he set up a vertical organization while being involved with local Pharma Associations (SFSTP & Pharma Logistics Club). In January 2017, he took on the role of Head of Product & Development for Pharmaceutical Logistics, where he led the global product team that supported the sales and operational departments in focusing on high-end, time and temperature-sensitive, pharmaceutical and biotechnology products. In January 2019, Fabrice assumed global responsibility for Quality under GDP/QA Pharma and launched a performance program enhancement and investment for cool chain products.Since joining Etihad Cargo in May 2020, Fabrice has led both Pharma and Fresh high-value goods segments. Titus joined Mission for Essential Drugs & Supplies (MEDS) on 7th January 2021 as Head of Marketing & Strategy. He previously worked for 15 years at Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops-General Secretariat at Senior Managerial Positions in PEPFAR supported projects (CDC & USAID). He possesses cumulative work experience of 21 years; of which,16 years at health policy advocacy level, PEPFAR grants management and procurement. Currently serving in the KCM-Global Fund Committee in Kenya representing the interests of Faith Based Organizations. He is the current Acting Project Director/COP for USAID Supply Chain Strengthening Project at MEDS and provides the overall strategic leadership of the project implementation and maintaining liaison with USAID, KEMSA, Ministry of Health and County Governments leaderships on matters pertaining smooth project implementation. He also serves in the Kenya Faith Based Health Services Consortium Board (KFBHSC) as the Secretary and brings together Catholics, Protestants and Muslims investing in the health care together. He is also the Co-Chair of MEDS-KEMSA Technical Working Group focusing on commercial business and USAID supply chain strengthening project implementation.

Dr. Emmanuel Agogo has more than 20 years’ experience in public health. In his capacity as Country Representative for Nigeria at Resolve to Save Lives, he oversees efforts to prevent epidemics and improve cardiovascular health in Nigeria. Dr. Agogo previously served in leadership roles at Nigeria’s National Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. He is a subject matter expert on Joint External Evaluation Missions and has practiced primary care and family medicine in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Dr. Agogo holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Ibadan, a Master of Science in Primary and Community Health from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases with distinction from the University of Liverpool. He is a fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He was a 2019 biosecurity leadership fellow at the Centre for health security at Johns Hopkins University Centre for Health Security and is currently one of the 20 pioneer Africa CDC Kofi Anan Public Health leadership fellows. She facilitated the establishment of the Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Household Chemical Substances Division, the Safety Monitoring and Clinical Trials Department, the Herbal Medicines Department and the Tobacco and substances of Abuse Department of the FDA – Ghana. Led 49 international Quality Management Systems (QMS) audits in 8 countries across 3 continents over the past 17 years. Served on over ten (10) local and international committees for medicines, medical devices and tobacco products regulations. Possesses over two (2) and half decades of regulatory expertise in 2 major organizations in Ghana: Food and Drugs Authority and Ghana Standards Authority. She is also an author and has nine books to her credit.

PATH

Andolo Miheso is a technical advisor at PATH Kenya. Andolo is responsible for managing the Tools for Integrated management of Childhood Illness project at PATH, the project is equipping health care providers in 60 primary health facilities in Kenya with pulse oximeters and clinical decision support algorithm to identify and manage severely ill children. Prior to taking this role at PATH in 2020, Andolo worked over 28 years with the Division of Adolescent and Child Health in the Kenyan Ministry of Health. In his role at the Ministry, Andolo worked on several strategies and guidelines to improve child health in Kenya including the Child Survival and Development Strategy and the Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood Illness. He has also developed and conducted several trainings and health system evaluations. Andolo earned his Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Higher National Diploma in Paediatrics and Surgery from Kenya Medical Training College and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health at Kenyatta University.
Dr. Chibuzo Eneh

CHIBUZO ENEH is a Public Health professional working with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Since January 2016, she has led the Logistics and Supply Chain under the Preparedness division of the Health Emergency Preparedness and response department of the (NCDC) and has been a key player in the development and implementation of a national emergency preparedness and response plan. She is extensively involved in strategic planning within the agency. Mrs. Eneh is also the Human Health Sector Coordinator of the Regional Disease Surveillance Systems Enhancement Project (REDISSE II-Nigeria) domiciled in NCDC and primarily directed towards the response to systemic weaknesses within the human health systems in Nigeria. With over 20 years’ experience in public health, Chibuzo has had 16 years’ experience working on Quality Management Systems and Good Manufacturing Practice Inspections of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities. She was a staff of the quality management system division of drug evaluation and research directorate of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) where she was responsible for leading and providing guidance to pharmaceutical manufacturers and Inspectors on GMP. She has extensive experience in quality improvement, capacity building, and guideline & policy development for pharmaceutical manufacturers and the Nigerian food and drug regulatory health system. Chibuzo is keenly interested in public health leadership, she co-led the country’s Joint External Evaluation and has very strong management skills with a track record of achieving targets to drive change and advance health policy solutions. Chibuzo holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Nsukka, Nigeria, a postgraduate certificate in International Health Consultancy from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and a certificate in Program Management for Epidemic Preparedness from the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease. She recently concluded a postgraduate diploma in Leadership from the Emeritus Institute of Management. Her training and experience in medical countermeasures through the Centre for Disease Control (US-CDC) was instrumental to the activation of the multi-sectoral medical countermeasures plan implored during the COVID-19 response in the country. She is keenly interested in contributing to the success of health organizations and is a result-oriented professional with skills in program management and practical leadership.

Dr Kayode Fasominu is a Management Consultant and Public Health specialist with over a decade experience in leading transformational health systems initiatives in West and Eastern Africa. He currently supports the delivery of strategic immunisation supply chain investments across 60+ Gavi-eligible countries through the Immunisation Supply Chain Steering Committee (iSC2). Areas of expertise include immunisation supply chain, global health security, capacity building, program evaluation, operational research, and implementation of innovative programs, using human centered design approaches, to save lives and optimise health outcomes across disadvantaged populations. As Principal at Volte Health – a management consulting firm - he has led consulting engagements across Africa and Europe working with donor agencies, multilateral UN agencies and governments across different levels. Kayode received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Cardiff University, United Kingdom. He has also earned a certificate in modelling of infectious diseases from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, New York, USA and a certificate in Leadership and Management in Health from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. In his spare time, he loves to travel, explore new places, listen to music, and watch football.

Over 15+ years of experience in strategic design, technical input, and evaluation of integrated health development programs, including innovation to catalyze results in health programming. Since March 2020, she has provided leadership in COVID-19 response programs and is currently providing leadership at the Amref Global Health Security Unit, coordinating COVID-19 vaccination efforts across 31 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. She holds a Masters's in Public Health and Disease Epidemiology and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the same field. Winner of 2015 Brand Hall Global Award for Best Use of Mobile Technology in health systems strengthening.

She joined World Vision Kenya in October 2007 and has served in various capacities. Lilian is currently serving as a Program Officer Health based at the National Office. Her key strengths include ability to focus on the processes to achieve desired results and good interpersonal skills. In 2020 during the heightened COVID 19 response, Lilian served as the Technical Lead for World Vision Kenya COVID 19 Response, and worked closely with the Ministry of health at the National and County level. She also supported World Vision Kenya Office in COVID 19 response by instituting prevention and safety measures and ensuring responsive programming. Lilian is married and a mother to three children. Her hobbies include spending time with friends & family and reading inspirational books

Mr. Gorgui S. Diallo serves as inaugural President & CEO of PanAfricare at the HQ based in Dakar. Prior to that, he was Country Director for Senegal at Africare. He possesses more than 20 years of experience in design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation & management of development programs across Health, Agriculture & Food Security, Micro Enterprise & Micro Finance, and good Governance. Gorgui has led the design & implementation of several health system strengthening projects/programs in malaria, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Maternal & Child health, and Community Health Policy. He was the principal innovator of ‘Saving Live at Birth Program’ initiated and implemented by Africare in Senegal, introducing innovative solutions such us mHealth and Predictive Modeling for Maternal Death Risk Assessment. He also plays a key role in various Senegal Strategic committees in addition to representing the Consortium of International NGOs in the UN Food Crisis Committee.

He is also the social entrepreneur managing Green Bio Energy social business in Uganda, where he has worked for 10 years. His work advances social innovation and distribution of life goods and services, as well as the social business framework, to fight poverty, climate change, and health inequities. 
Dr. Catherine Kanari

Dr. Catherine Kanari holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) (University of Nairobi) and a  Masters of Public Health (Leeds University Uk). She has more than 17 years’ extensive experience in the health sector in Kenya; including working in the public, private and NGO sectors. Dr. Kanari is currently the Universal Health Coverage Lead at Amref Health innovations , Amref Health Africa . Her portfolio includes innovative solutions for health service delivery that leverage on emerging technologies to deliver measurable impact within communities in Africa. Areas under her current implementation include partnerships with Pharmaceutical organizations to implement end to end programs in Non-communicable disease integration in health programing, public private partnerships in primary health care , inclusivity in health service provision for people living with disabilities and sexual reproductive health market access approaches. This work spans several African countries.  During the pandemic she was involved in work around inclusion into social protection for 6 counties in Kenya, Capacity building community health systems through capacity building, advocacy, increasing vaccine coverage through mobile vaccination units and covid surveillance efforts in several counties and countries. This work also involved ensuring NCD systems ( supplies ) held strong.

He is currently the brand ambassador for Med4All which is a PharmAccess and CHAG (Christian Health Association of Ghana) digital procurement platform which uses technology as an enabler in making quality medicines available, affordable, and accessible to many Ghanaians. He earned the Med4All ambassadorship by transforming the hospital’s drug procurement process from manual to digital which increased the confidence patients have in buying quality and affordable medicines. Mr. Guptan has over 29 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having led operations, sales, marketing, strategic planning and distribution for companies across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia and has worked at Senior Management Levels in organizations such as Surgipharm, Abacus, Harleys in Kenya. Mr. Guptan is the Board Director and the Chairman of the Supply Chain committee of the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), the health sector board of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), the umbrella representative body dedicated to engaging the government and all relevant stakeholders working to achieve quality health care through enabling policies that maximize the contributions of the private sector and he is also the Vice-Chairman of the Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (KAPI).  He takes pride in being involved in a lot of voluntary & charitable activities in his personal capacity as well as member of various associations and groups and has the wellbeing of the society and its members very close to his heart and takes personal interest in bringing smiles to the faces of the less fortunate members of our society.
