ACRIS II - Bringing Public & Private Sector Together
Overview
The event of the year tackling Climate Resilient Infrastructure for Africa. Why? Engagement - personable and meaningful! Hear from the world's leading industry experts but also meet with them, exchange ideas, experiences, best practices and contact details... structured, focussed discussions/meetings creating lasting collaborations to aid the African continent and its people (learn about our format).

Each year, the Africa Climate Resilient Infrastructure Summit (ACRIS II) brings Government, Worldwide Agency (UN, U.S. EU etc.), NGO and Chamber stakeholders together with leading local, regional and global operators for high-level sessions to develop Africa's Climate Resilient Infrastructure through public-private partnerships (PPPs). But for 2016, at the Hilton Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, GRV Global are thrilled to welcome an additional delegation of some 60+ ministerial-level decision makers from across Africa for Special Sessions organised by The World Bank, African Union Commission (AUC) and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA)

  • High-Level Plenary Sessions

Africa is arguably the world's most vulnerable region to climate change. Agenda 2063 pledges to implement sustainable development across the continent; how? By utilising the technologies, expertise, knowledge and scalability the private sector has to offer. It is said that close to $100 billion will be required to meet Africa’s infrastructure needs over the next decade.  Much of the needed investment is in long-lived infrastructure, such as power stations, roads, reservoirs and irrigation canals, which are vulnerable to changes in climate patterns.

"Logistics on having conference in the morning and set meetings in the afternoon is the best idea. Having extra time to squeeze in additional meetings was a plus."

Thus, ACRIS II provides a rare and valuable opportunity, led by The World Bank, AUC and UNECA (and government officials of the 54 sovereign states), for organisations such as NEPAD, USAID, AfDB, EAC, JICA, Gates Foundation, ECOWAS, COMESA, EIB, OPIC, UNFCCC, UNFAO, AIIM, WFP, IFAD, UNDP, UNEP, UNOPS, DFID and many more to present to and meet with operators from across the globe in a safe, stimulating environment within just a few short days.

Africa Climate Resilient Infrastructure Summit (ACRIS II) is a must-attend event for all organisations looking to further their efforts across the continent and drive Africa's development of Climate Resilient Infrastructure! Unlike any other forum, GRV Global offers an engaging and stimulating gathering of experts guaranteed to gain tangible results.
